Welcome to our blog!

This "KJ and Tony Love France" travel blog was created back in 2022 when we took a magical trip to Paris and decided to quit our jobs, give away nearly everything we own, and move from Florida to France!

We first fell in love with France when we visited about 10 years ago and we have been back many times since then to various parts of the South of France.  Yet, we had never been to Paris until May 2022, which is when we decided we wanted to leave our high stress jobs and 24/7 work lifestyle in the US and move to Paris.    

Our YouTube Channel "KJ and Tony Love France" and this travel blog document our journey of giving up all our belongings in the USA to make our dream of living in France a reality.  

Our plan was to spend the first year of our journey exploring different areas of France before settling in Paris.  Afterall, there are so many incredibly beautiful areas in France, and we wanted to experience as many different French regions and departments as possible before we make our final decision to live in Paris.

We applied for our visas and off we went to spend the first month of our journey in Paris, which we both agree was the best month of our nearly 15 years together as a couple.  We then moved to Versailles for two months to have a larger space to accomodate our youngest son, who was visiting on his break from his university studies.  

Not knowing the area very well, we did not realize how remote our apartment in Versailles would be from Paris, or even the main areas of the town of Versailles (which is quite beautiful in its own right). This presented many unexpected challenges, causing our journey to take some dramatic twists and turns, including but not limited to, culture shock, home sickness, health issues, and family concerns.    

We moved back to Florida, and now have a home-base in Vero Beach to be closer to family.  All of which is documented on our YouTube channel.  

We still love France (in particular, Paris) and we have not given up on our plan to live there one day.  For now, we are traveling back and forth between our home here in Florida and our home away from home in Paris, with its many magical places yet to explore.
